Allgon in UMTS Agreement

date: April 10, 2001 - source by: Business Wire

Global system supplier has appointed Allgon Systems for development and global supply of UMTS base station subsystems.

The agreement confirms Allgon's potential as a leading UMTS-technology partner. The order value amounts to approx. 10 Million US dollars for deliveries during a three years period.

The agreement provides the global system supplier with Allgon's unique competence and experience of advanced base station technology. Allgon Systems will develop and supply UMTS base station subsystems. This includes integrated filter panels, Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), directional couplers, splitters and other equipment, which are crucial for obtaining high radio quality in UMTS services.

"The agreement was signed in hard competition with other technology suppliers, and confirms the potential of Allgon's 3G competence," says Lars Jehrlander, President of Allgon Systems.

Besides deliveries of UMTS base station equipment the parties have also entered into a technology partnership agreement.
