NTT DoCoMo and SAP Tie

date: April 12, 2001

NTT DoCoMo and German software developer SAP AG said Thursday they have signed a memorandum of understanding to study an alliance for providing information systems for corporate clients using 3G mobile technology devices.

The move is part of DoCoMo's efforts to strengthen its sales to business customers through third-generation mobile phone services slated to begin in major Japanese cities from May.

Next-generation mobile phones will be capable of sending large-capacity data at a much faster speed than existing models.
