3G engineers wants to leave Isle of Mandate: April 24, 2001 Britain saw more possible cases of the foot-and-month disease in humans and is alarming foreign 3G engineers on the island. A Japanese engineer (who do not wish to be named), responsible for building the 3G network on the tiny island told 3G Newsroom they were concerned with the spread of foot-and-month to human and are considering leaving the UK in feared of developing the diseases. "This disease is very concerning to my team and I, the whole island is isolated. We cannot go anywhere outside the island without begin sprayed with chemicals and checked. I am deliberating on rather to leave the UK if things do not get better." the engineer said. "Rollout of the network is not going to be held up, we are at the final stage of evaluation…hopefully out at the end of May" There has been no reported case of the disease find on the island. Traveling on the island has been restricted with exclusion zone and disinfecting mats circuiting buildings in feared of infecting animals. The disease is extremely mild in humans, with people suffering flu-like symptoms and blisters on hands and in the mouth. Mass vaccination of the disease might get the go ahead. A dark cloud already formed by the delay in network implementation of base-stations on the island due to foot-and-month epidemic. Today the Isle of Man government has called off this year's TT race on the island, this meant the planned live coverage of the sport on the 3G handsets would not happen.
