Many problems facing 3G

Basex released a report today saying companies need to be prepare their
plan for the 3G wireless world as soon as they can. The report believes
there are many problems facing mobile telecom industry on 3G standard,
how to adopt it and the evolutionary path. The report "The ABC's of 123G"
is written for executives in the high-tech business to provide them with
trends and standards on how to explore 3G to its maximum.
The report explains how the original goal of 3G is to provide a worldwide
standard, but along the way, money got the better of common sense. Now
there are two main 3G standards (wcdma and cdma2000) and many steps to
follow before arriving to 3G such as GPRS and EDGE. It even suggested
by the time we are half way to 3G implementation, mobile operators is
on 4G R&D.
