Though authority of comments unclear, prospect of increased competition could be negative for China Mobile and China Unicom as market had expected only two new licenses within next two years. China Mobile has yet to draft spending plans for 3G services, which are unlikely to be ready for the China market in the next two years, according to company chairman Wang Xiaochu.
