CEO sees no fourth bidder in French licensesdate: April 22, 2002 Bouygues Chairman Martin Bouygues said Monday that he doesn't expect to see a fourth bidder for a 3G mobile phone license in France . Martin Bouygues told analysts that "the fact there will be no new entrant (to the French mobile phone market) has been a key point" in the French media-to-construction group's decision to bid for a license. Last week, Bouygues Telecom revealed that it is to bid for one of the two remaining 3G licenses being offered in the French contest. So far, Tele2, Deutsche Telekom, DoCoMo, Telefonica and Suez have all said they will not enter the contest for a license. Greenfield group Hutchison Whampoa is also said to have decided against bidding, making it look as though there will be just three 3G operators in France.
