Italian Mobile Telephone Operator Uses RADCOM's PrismLite for Testing UMTS Networksdate: April 25, 2002 RADCOM, a network test and quality management solutions provider, announced that one of Italy's leading mobile telephone operators has selected RADCOM's protocol analyzers for testing and monitoring their existing GPRS and future UMTS networks. A total of 8 units valued at more than one half million dollars have already been supplied and are playing an important role in the operation and maintenance of GPRS networks, as well as aiding in the future migration to UMTS networks. "The customer was particularly impressed with the fact that the PrismLite offers a full test solution, including packages which help to put services in operation and maintain them," said Giulio Patane, Commercial Director of Ampercom, RADCOM's partner in Italy who closed the sale for RADCOM. "We are proud to once again participate in the development and expansion of GPRS networks and the migration to UMTS networks", said Hanan Klainer, RADCOM VP Sales. "This selection of RADCOM over an impressive range of competitors proves once again the added value of our test solutions, particularly to cutting edge technologies such as GPRS and UMTS, and is another step in our penetration of the cellular market."
