Hutchison 3G Selects Ascential Software For CRM Data Integration

Ascential Software Corporation, a developer in enterprise data integration, announced today that Hutchison 3G UK has selected Ascential's DataStage XE for its CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data integration to provide a more concise view of its customers' behaviour and needs.

Ascential DataStage XE will be deployed first in the UK and then made available in other countries where Hutchison Whampoa, Hutchison 3G's parent, has 3G interests. 3G mobile multimedia services represent a convergence of digital information, media and telephony that will deliver access in the next few years to real time information and entertainment services from any location, allowing flexible working practices.

Under terms of the agreement, Hutchison 3G will use DataStage XE with Parallel Extender, to integrate data across the company in two key areas. First, it will be used to develop a framework to collect and consolidate all customer information from a variety of sources, which will then be fed into Customer Relationship Management systems. Second, DataStage XE with Parallel Extender will facilitate the consolidation and integration of data from multiple operational systems across the enterprise.
