3GNewsroom.com have received news that the dual mode SonyEricsson Z1010 3G handset will be on sale in August. Three is currently testing and configuring the phone to integrate its network services. The retail price of the Z1010 is set to be £399 without discount.
The clamshell Z1010 is "optimised for video conferencing and video applications", said SonyEricsson.
In another up to date news on Three, the company is set to be offering adult content starting from next week, a salesperson at a Three shop told 3GNewsroom.com. Playboy and some Paul Raymond Publications will be the content providers available to view in the adult section.
The salesperson also said Three is going to double the amount of content that it is currently offering at the moment in the next two months but no specific providers were named.
3GNewsroom.com have noticed a seven percent decrease in download time since the service started. The test was done with a 12 second video clip. We will be publishing this test shortly.
Hutchison Whampoa has moved Hutchison 3G UK's Commercial Director, Keith Bradley, to a new post in the group after the failed launch of Three UK with less than expected subscribers and on going teething technical problems.
His photo was removed from the Hutchison 3G website. An industry source said, "Things have not gone well." for Three and "the problems are far wider", citing source.
