Alegro develops SlipStream's 1X/EVDO acceleration product

April 11, 2006

SlipStream Data announced that Alegro PCS has deployed SlipStream's newest mobile acceleration product, SlipStream MSP, in its 1X/EVDO network. Alegro PCS deployed their CDMA2000 1X network, providing 3G wireless voice and data technology to their entire customer base last year.

Alegro PCS, a Mobile Service Provider (MSP) in Ecuador, formally launched the new SlipStream MSP product in late December and have reported significant results with higher customer satisfaction, usage stimulation and increased network savings.

"We evaluated a number of data acceleration products for our 1X/EVDO data users," said Maria Rossing, Vice President, Technology. "After extensive testing in both good and poor RF conditions, it was clear that SlipStream's solution was the fastest and most consistent. We're pleased to have SlipStream as our technology partner."

"SlipStream has a compelling acceleration and compression offering for today's 2.5G networks, providing speeds that are up to 2x faster than alternative acceleration providers," said Ante Rupcic, SlipStream's Head of Mobile Market Development. "Field trials in Alegro have shown that we have an equally compelling solution for the next generation of technology as well."

SlipStream MSP uses patented acceleration, adaptive data compression and state-of-the-art network optimization technology to streamline text, graphics, Flash and Web-based emails, including attachments. SlipStream MSP is the only solution to support the widest range of devices and deliver consistent Quality of Service (QoS) from good to poor RF and across all network generations (2.5G, 3G, 4G).
