Connex Vodafone expands 3G network

Connex Vodafone is pleased to announce that 3G services are now available to customers in 7 new cities - Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Alba Iulia, Bistrita, Turda, Bacau and Buzau, for a total of 22 cities. This brings the penetration rate of 3G services to approximately 30% from Romania's population.

With over 135,000 3G users, Connex Vodafone's 3G offering has proved to successfully respond to the various communications needs of both corporate customers and consumers. Business customers in the cities with 3G coverage can now benefit from the advantages brought by the newly launched Vodafone Mobile Connect. This worldwide top connectivity solution for laptop users offers our 3G customers fast and easy access to the Internet and office applications like e-mail, Intranet, calendar, telephone agenda editor, SMS or data traffic monitoring, with up to 384 kbps data speeds.

For small and medium size enterprises, Connex Vodafone offers 3G MultiOffice, combining in one package a superior Internet access solution powered by 3G, free minutes of national and group calls included, as well as special equipment for voice and data services access.

The promotional launch offers bring even more advantages to our 3G customers, such as free video calling minutes, data traffic for fast Internet access and MMS included, together with an range of nine 3G handsets at special prices.

Connex Vodafone customers traveling abroad can use roaming services over 3G in 15 countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, France, UK, Greece, Spain, Israel, Belgium, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Sweden and Finland.
