NextWave Executives to Hold Briefing On Plan to Build 3G CDMA Networkdate: August 15, 2001 Executives from NextWave Telecom, a Hawthorne, NY-based company, will make a presentation on the build-out of its US 3G CDMA network and provide details on its business strategy. The Presentation will start on the 16th August at Grand Hyatt Hotel Park Avenue at Grand Central NY and Lucent Technologies and PacketVideo will demonstrate CDMA2000 technology support of NextWave network. The CDMA2000 standard is the next phase in the evolution of cdmaOne digital cellular and PCS networks to 3G networks and can carry data at a rate of 144kbps. NextWave is aiming to be a provider of next-generation wireless services by building and operating the first US, packet-switched wireless network designed to provide a combination of high-speed mobile Internet access and high quality voice service.
