Versaly announces 3G content deal with Jimi Hendrixdate: August 17, 2001 Versaly Games, a content provider for mobile phones, announced it has partnered with Experience Hendrix, LLC, a family run business that manages the name, likeness, image and music of Jimi Hendrix, to allow Versaly subscribers to download Jimi Hendrix music, videos, digital pictures, lyrics and interesting facts to their next-generation handsets. Versaly is focused on delivering entertainment to 2.5G and 3G phones, which are next generation mobile phones with full color screens, file storage memory and a high-speed, "always-on" Internet connection. Janie Hendrix, President and CEO of Experience Hendrix, stated, "We are excited about this partnership and how it will open up a new world for Jimi Hendrix music . . .These smartphones are the coolest new devices I have seen in a long time". Versaly will securely distribute Jimi Hendrix music, concert videos, digital pictures, lyrics and interesting facts about Jimi over the global 2.5G and 3G wireless telecommunications network to subscribers. "Entertainment on smartphones will include both games and content. Smartphones will consolidate all portable devices, such as a cell phone, PDA, MP3 player, video player and game player, into a single device . . . Jimi Hendrix music is a fantastic addition to our library of over 250,000 images, video clips and audio clips," said Matthew Feldman, Versaly's President and CEO.
