CDG Members Assemble to Discuss 3G CDMA2000

date: August 24, 2001

CDMA Development Group (CDG) members including Ericsson, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Nortel Networks and Qualcomm will participate in a live, online interactive event on Friday Sept 7, hosted by the CDG that will focus on CDMA2000, the industry's first commercially deployed 3G technology.

The latest event in the CDG Digevent Series will explore the future for CDMA2000 and opportunities for 3G around the globe. CDMA2000, which currently boasts a subscriber base of more than 700,000 users, provides TDMA, cdmaOne, analog and GSM operators substantial cost and time-to-market advantages as they prepare to upgrade their networks to 3G.

Senior representatives from leading wireless companies Ericsson, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Nortel Networks, and Qualcomm will participate in a live, online Webcast hosted by Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG.

You can register for the Webcast, visit the Events Section of the CDG Web site at www.cdg.org.
