Comptel to Deliver a Prepaid Mediation Solution to P&TLuxembourg
date: August 10, 2002
Comptel Corporation and P&TLuxembourg have agreed on the delivery
of Comptel’s prepaid mediation solution for the operator’s 2G (GSM)
and 3G (UMTS) networks. Comptel is a provider of mediation solutions,
the product portfolio of which includes also solutions for the management
of new content services. P&TLuxembourg is a mobile operator in Luxembourg.
The delivery is underway. Its value has not been published.
The delivered software, Comptel Prepaid Mediation, is a software
solution for the mediation of prepaid subscribers’ content services.
It will enable P&TLuxembourg to do real-time charging of SMS (short
message) services. Comptel Prepaid Mediation is based on service
delivery control, which efficiently eliminates fraud through verifying
prepaid accounts balance in real-time. The solution can be integrated
into the network without the need for modifying the existing network
elements (Prepaid System, SMS Centre). This reduces the operator’s
business risks and implementation related costs remarkably.
