CommVerge Solutions deploys WIN For Taiwan's first 3G network

Asia Pacific Broadband Wireless Communications (APBW), a new, and Taiwan's
first 3G mobile operator has chosen CommVerge Solutions to deploy its
Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN). In this project, the CommVerge Taiwan
team will deploy a Mobile Virtual Private Network (MVPN) and Prepaid Services
on uAngel's WIN platform.
Mr. Allen Chu, Vice President of APBW, MI (Mobil Internet Department)
said, "CommVerge's 3G Mobile Data Application Solution, together
with uAngel's IN applications, has met APBW's objective to establish ourselves
as a mobile, high speed data leader in Taiwan's 3G market, and we are
confident that CommVerge will play a great role in helping us meet that
objective."
Stephen Tsai, president of CommVerge Solutions Taiwan said, "CommVerge
Solutions is privileged to have this opportunity to work with Taiwan's
first 3G mobile operator, in alliance with uAngel. This further strengthens
our track record in the 3G Mobile Data market."
APBW was founded in November 2001 and awarded a CDMA2000 license in February
2002. It is the sole CDMA2000 operator in Taiwan and started commercial
services this year.
