August 3, 2004

As from 2 August, Eurotel Praha is providing an unlimited high-speed Internet access service and, as the first operator in the Czech Republic, launches the latest CDMA technology. Eurotel has implemented in the 450 MHz frequency CDMA2000 1xEV-DO technology. Eurotel Data Expres is powered by the CDMA technology and in the 450 MHz network it complements the TiP service (prefix 601) which uses the older NMT technology. Eurotel Data Expres is a package combining the Eurotel Data Expres Nonstop tariff and hardware needed for the connection. It provides the fastest mobile Internet service in the Czech Republic, and data can be downloaded without limitation - the customers do not pay for the time online or the volume of data transmitted, only the flat monthly fee of CZK 899 exclusive of VAT. (£1 = CZK 44.18)

"Customers in the Czech Republic can now surf the Internet several times faster than via GPRS," said Garrison Macri, Executive Director for Marketing, Eurotel Praha. "High-speed Internet will generate substantial time saving, both when searching for information and handling e-mails, and it is also easier to do more things on the PC at one time. Users of our new service will find their business, studying or entertainment more efficient, without waiting and can use the Internet regardless whether they happen to be at their desk, travelling or in the comfort of their home," elaborated Macri.

Eurotel is presently offering a hardware package which, in addition to documentation and accessories, contains GPC-6420 CDMA USB modem. Full price of the set is CZK 8,995 and subsidised price is CZK 1,495 - both inclusive of VAT. Other benefits of the service are its prompt activation and the simple modem and utility software installation.

"Eurotel Data Expres is a new addition to the INTERNET EXPRES family of services which are complementary to each other," said David Duron, Executive Director for Marketing, CESKY TELECOM. "Customers have now more choice for high-speed Internet and can decide based on their specific needs. The new service of Eurotel will be distributed also in the CESKY TELECOM brand stores - Telepoint and Telepoint Partner."
