Actix supplies 3G solutions to Huawei

August 10, 2004

Actix, the provider of wireless network performance engineering solutions, announced that Huawei Technologies has selected Actix as the preferred supplier of 3G wireless performance engineering solutions, for the planning, roll-out, troubleshooting and optimisation of wireless networks.

Actix' wireless performance engineering solutions are entirely vendor independent and enable operators to analyse raw wireless network data from a mix of network technologies, systems and data collection solutions in fine detail. This gives an end-to-end picture of vital wireless functions and the quality of service delivery from the subscriber's perspective; it also enables engineers to 'drill down' to the root cause of any deficiencies.

Huangyunpeng, Senior Manager, Radio Network Department, Huawei Technologies said, "To ensure steady and sustainable growth, and to sharpen our core competitive edge, partnering with other leading global telecommunications players is key for Huawei.

"Actix' success in assisting over 170 wireless operators worldwide, including many 3G operators, as well as its vendor-independent support for network technologies like Huawei's latest 3G Drive Test tool, the Genex Probe WCDMA 1.0, makes Actix an excellent partner. Actix' solution will enable us to provide even better service to our customers, and will be beneficial particularly in the rapidly developing 3G market in China."

T C Tan, General Manager, Actix China said, "We are very pleased that Huawei Technologies has selected Actix' 3G solution to support its latest drive test equipment for WCDMA networks. Huawei is able to provide cutting edge, customised wireless network solutions, and we are certain that the power and flexibility of Actix solutions will assist to enhance this ability."
