KDDI 3G subscribers exceed 19 million

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce that the total number of subscribers for 3G cellular phones provided by KDDI and Okinawa Cellular exceeded 19 million on July 27, 2005.

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular launched au 3G cellular phones on April 1, 2002, enabling the seamless use of nationwide services such as the Double Fixed Light packet data fixed fee service that users can enjoy Email and EZ web, music distribution service, EZ "Chaku Uta Full", and "EZ Navi Walk". 94% of au users are using 3rd generation cellular phones.
