KTF selects Dilithium Networks 3G gateway

August 16, 2005

Dilithium Networks announced that Korea Telecom Freetel (KTF) has selected the DTG 2000 multimedia gateway for delivery of enhanced 3G services across mobile and IP networks. The combination of Dilithium Networks DTG 2000 multimedia gateway and DigitalWave's video messaging solution enables KTF to offer video mail services for 3G video calls.

"The DTG 2000 will enable KTF to build next-generation converged voice-video networks and create other revenue-generating services, including 3G to fixed-network conversational video services, video portal and video multi-conferencing applications," said Lee Ellison, Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales and Support Dilithium Networks.

The DTG 2000 is a carrier-class multimedia gateway incorporating several patent pending technologies including Dilithium Networks' Unicoding technology for fast efficient transcoding, resulting in better lip synchronization; Video Refresh for eliminating video corruption in messaging and streaming platforms; and AnswerFast Plus that reduces call setup times to under 1 second.
