Clarity wins OSS contract with HCPT
August 7, 2006
Clarity International, a supplier of next generation Operational Support Systems (OSS) has won a contract with Indonesia's PT Hutchison CP Telecommunications (HCPT) to provide highly scalable real-time provisioning of mobile services.
HCPT and its prime systems integrator Tech Mahindra, selected Clarity OSS for real-time, zero-touch provisioning of subscriber services. "We selected Clarity from a competitive field because of the system's scalability and configurability. HCPT anticipates significant growth in subscriber volumes in the next few years and we also needed an OSS that can be easily configured to deploy new services quickly. Based on our evaluation, we believe the Clarity system can provide optimum support in these areas," said Jaideep Potdar, Head of OSS Practice at Tech Mahindra.
"3G operators face a number of complex convergence challenges," says Angela Dickenson Senior VP Strategy of Clarity. "3G networks mean deployment and management of both traditional mobile as well as next generation IP technology. 3G services necessitate on-demand delivery of innovative application and content services, as well as traditional voice and messaging services to the subscriber's mobile phone. Clarity OSS has been uniquely designed to support convergent delivery of voice, data, application and content services over legacy and next generation networks and we are very excited to see the continued adoption of Clarity by 3G mobile service providers."
