MTC-Vodafone launches network monitoring solution from Harris
August 14, 2006
Harris Corporation, a global supplier of Service Assurance solutions, announced the launch of the Harris NetBoss Executive Dashboard by MTC-Vodafone, Kuwait. The NetBoss Executive Dashboard provides managers and executives with a graphical display of network status, usage and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) accessible via the web, quickly and clearly conveying critical service and business information to ensure optimal network performance and service quality.
"The Harris Executive Dashboard is exactly what we needed to give our management team concise information showing how our network and services are performing, and enable them to take preventive or corrective actions," said Baraak Al-Sabeeh, general manager of MTC-Vodafone. "This translates into better service for our valued customers because we can see current summaries of network, service, and business conditions and make real-time adjustments as needed. We have also positioned large-screen displays at key locations in our buildings so our entire staff can continuously remain aware of, and focused on, quality of service."
The Dashboard overlays MTC's NetBoss Integrated Network Management System (INMS) to provide summary-level information of the entire network condensed to a few views. One view displays network status information including critical and major alarms in each equipment domain. Another view shows network usage information such as the number of connected calls, percentage of dropped calls, SMS message attempts and many other performance indicators. The Executive Dashboard application includes a Dashboard Builder tool that enables customers to create additional customized views from any data source, such as the number of outstanding trouble tickets, the number of new subscribers activated and network performance measured by Key Quality Indicators (KQIs).
