Sinclair games get a re-run courtesy of 3Gdate: December 20, 2001 - source: Siemens UMTS NewsDesk Amstrad is believed to be planning to take its catalogue of 1980's computer games, such as Jet Set Willy and Manic Minor, onto Java platforms. The company owns the brand and software catalogue of Sinclair Computers, which it had bought in the 1980s. Retro-gaming enthusiasts have already done much of the conversion work, building a Java based Sinclair computer emulator to play the old games on. Amstrad founded in 1968 by the present Chairman Alan Sugar, trading in electrical goods. And in 1984, Amstrad launches the first mass market Home Computer package (CPC range), designed by Amstrad engineers in the UK. This product captures the market from the existing players Commodore and Sinclair. Amstrad launched some of the most classic games such as Live and Let Die, West Bank and Bomb Jack.
