Catapult Communications Upgrades 3G Test Capabilitiesdate: December 20, 2001 Catapult Communications announced that the DCT2000 test system has been upgraded for testing the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Program) commercial standard level, Release 99 June 2001 version. According to Dave Mayfield, president and COO, "Catapult fully recognizes the importance of providing a test portfolio that is based on the latest industry specifications. We continue to monitor 3GPP protocol developments as we make our engineering investments to meet our customer's testing needs in the 3G environment." The DCT2000 test system now supports the 3GPP June 2001 specifications for the following protocols: RANAP, RNSAP, NBAP, CM/MM, SM/GMM, Iu-UP, PDCP, GTP, MAP, RRC, RLC, MAC and FP.
