U.S. Cellular selects Ericsson for CDMA 1XRTT network support services

Ericsson announced that it has signed an agreement with U.S. Cellular
for the TEMS DriveTester tool and deployment of Ericsson's CDMA
1XRTT AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) solution
across the wireless service provider's network.
The network equipment will enhance U.S. Cellular's CDMA 1XRTT network
and enable customers to access services such as high-bandwidth Internet
and e-mail services via their wireless phones.
"This agreement demonstrates U.S. Cellular's commitment to superior
customer service and satisfaction," said Michael S. Irizarry, executive
vice president of engineering and chief technical officer for U.S.
Cellular. "With the support of Ericsson's network equipment, we
will continue to deliver superior wireless services and greater
mobility to our customers and business consumers."
