Dimension Telecom signs support agreement with Hi3G
December 19, 2002
The IT integrator Dimension’s subsidiary Dimension Telecom has
signed a support agreement with multimedia operator 3 (formerly
Hi3G) on IT infrastructure for the latter company’s network.
Earlier this year Dimension Telecom received an order from 3 to
implement a new technical platform for its 3G network. The success
of this cooperation led to a framework agreement on the further
expansion of 3’s network. The cooperation is now being broadened
again after 3 has signed a support agreement with Dimension Telecom
on the IT infrastructure that serves as the basis of the company’s
network.
Mobile multimedia specialist 3 is striving to become the leader
in the Scandinavian market by offering innovative mobile services.
“The decisive factor in the selection of Dimension Telecom as a
support partner for IT infrastructure was that they could guarantee
fast response times and have already proven they can offer a high
level of availability in our systems,” says Per-Eric Borgelin, Operations
Manager at 3.
“Competition in the telecom sector is increasingly focused on network
content and services, which places extremely high demands on availability,”
says Sven Uthorn, Managing Director of Dimension. “Operators have
to be sure that their services always work. We are proud of the
continued confidence that 3 has shown in us by extending our cooperation
to comprise support services.”
The support agreement includes services such as 24-hour troubleshooting,
alleviating system discrepancies, scheduled and preventive maintenance,
updating IT infrastructure and technical advice.
