December 23, 2004

Ericsson has signed a frame agreement with the Polish operator Polkomtel to supply GSM, EDGE and WCDMA network equipment to complement the existing Plus GSM network.

Under the agreement, Ericsson will deliver and implement 2G and 3G network elements and will secure integration and optimization of the system, including multi-vendor infrastructure integration. Ericsson will also provide training and technical support for the supplied solutions. During the first year Ericsson will assist in network maintenance. Deliveries will start in 2005.

"Mobile users in Poland will now be able to enjoy the benefits of new exciting services such as video telephony and mobile music, as well as mobile broadband Internet access," said Lars E Svensson, president of Ericsson Poland.

Ericsson GSM, EDGE and WCDMA high capacity network infrastructure will be supplied for Plus GSM network, making it possible for the operator to offer attractive consumer services.
