December 11, 2006

Vodafone Australia went live with the biggest mobile TV and music offering on Vodafone live! with 3G, giving customers access to 21 live and made for mobile TV channels as well as over half a million music tracks. So that customers can always check out what's on now, this month Vodafone will also launch an exclusive mobile TV Guide. The first of its kind in Australia, the TV Guide will let customers view all categories of Vodafone Mobile TV entertainment at the touch of a button.

Mobile TV line up on Vodafone live! with 3G

  • 15 made for mobile channels: including a range of Sky News channels, MTV, E!, Rage, VidZone TV, ABC Kids and Chilli TV.

To get customers started, Vodafone is currently offering one month of free and unlimited usage to anyone who subscribes to either the News and Sport pack or the Music and Entertainment pack.

Richard Sherwood, general manager of Mass Markets, Vodafone Australia, says "Launching the biggest mobile TV and music catalogue is incredibly exciting. Coupled with Australia's first ever Mobile TV Guide, we're providing our customers with a simple, rich mobile experience that is second to none".

Also in an exciting Australian first, early next year Vodafone live! with 3G will launch British teen drama Hollyoaks to Australia. A cult hit in the UK, the show will air first, exclusively on Vodafone live! with 3G as a pilot, to test the popularity of the show in Australia among young adults with mobile lifestyles.

Music on Vodafone live! with 3G

Vodafone live! with 3G is also the ultimate mobile music destination. With over half a million music tracks including Australia's biggest mobile indie music catalogue plus exclusive music videos on Vidzone TV, there's something for every music fan.

"At Vodafone, we're passionate about music and delivering exclusive content that our customers can't get anywhere else. Vodafone made music history when we were the first to stream a live music gig to mobile when Australian power trio Wolfmother performed at Vodafone Live at The Chapel. We will continue to shake up the market by offering money can't buy experiences on Vodafone live! with 3G" said Richard.

"So, whether it's watching live TV, downloading music or streaming a live gig by your favourite artist, Vodafone live! with 3G is the ultimate destination to feed your passion on the move".
