Agilent Tech Unveils 3G RAN Performance Tester

date: 21st February 2001

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) unveiled the Agilent 3G RAN Performance Tester, a platform that helps developers and users to evaluate network performance and capacity.

In a press release Tuesday, Agilent said the product simulates network-scale traffic and measures the capacity and performance of 3G radio access networks.

By using the product, equipment manufacturers and service providers can determine the actual number of users that can be supported by 3G networks under different traffic conditions, the service performance level that can be guaranteed, and how well the network and its components will function under peak loads, reducing the risks and costs associated with network deployment.
