The WA government will provide a $A4.5 million ($US2.36 million) industry incentive package with Motorola for the five-year first stage of the project. UWA will invest $A15 million ($US7.86 million) to build a facility for Motorola while Motorola will invest $A35 million ($US18.34 million) over five years in salaries, recruitment and training as well as setting up advanced communication links, high speed local area networks and high powered work stations for software development.
