Chunghwa Telecom to spend NT$20-30 billion
date: February 8, 2002
Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom that recently bided successfully for a 3G license
in Taiwan, are planning to invest NT$20-30 billion (US$570-860 million)
in its initial phase of 3G service network.
It is expected to take 15 years to recover its investment of the 3G license,
NT$10.179.
Experts believe the price of the licenses could make it difficult for
operators to make profits.
