mmO2 rethinking 3G infrastructure buildersdate: February 28, 2002 mmO2, Europe's fifth-largest mobile phone company, said on Thursday it was reviewing its arrangements for the construction of WCDMA 3G networks in three countries. Prior to its demerger from BT Group last year and the unification of mmO2's four-pronged management, the company had originally been set to have Nortel build its UK network, Nokia provide its network in Germany, and Ericsson its network in the Netherlands. ``We're reviewing the provision of network infrastructure and dual-mode (3G) handsets,'' an mmO2 spokesman said. ``We're currently in talks with network providers.''
