Anritsu partner with ORIX Rentec to open up 3G test market in Europe

February 17, 2004

Anritsu has announced that it has chosen ORIX Rentec to be its European Rental Partner for 3G products. The partnership offers Operating Leases such as short and long-term rental, providing Anritsu's customers with alternative competitive financing options. The partnership will make it easier for Anritsu's customers to acquire the full range of Anritsu's 3G products, without having to go through the CAPEX justification process. This allows customers to utilise their operational budget, and the transaction can be treated as being off the balance sheet.

Anritsu has recognised the need to offer alternative investment choices to its customers to obtain test and measurement equipment, particularly in today's challenging market. Anritsu Rental Services will enable customers to maximize the use of Anritsu's range of 3G products. Rental options will also assist customers who are working on projects where technologies and standards change quickly, and on project based programs which have a specific time line and defined budget associated with it.

"At Anritsu, we pride ourselves on being very customer focused. Our partnership with ORIX Rentec will allow our customers, particularly within the 3G market, smooth access to our equipment and provide an alternative to outright purchase " said Mike McHale, Country Manager, UK and Ireland at Anritsu. "Many of our customers have to keep a close eye on cash flow and optimise capital expenditure. Rental programs satisfy these requirements as well as giving other advantages such as, improved asset utilisation, rental term flexibility and rapid delivery."

Mike continued, "We found ORIX Rentec to have a good 3G-market focus and alignment with our customers in Europe. We also recognize that they have many years of hard-won experience gained during the W-CDMA roll-out in Japan, which we felt would benefit our customers in Europe."

"ORIX Rentec Limited believes that by working in partnership with Anritsu we will be able to offer both superior technology and financial solutions to our joint customers involved in 3G communications," said Hajime Kawano, Managing Director, at ORIX Rentec.
