Kabira to demonstrate high-speed service solutions for 3G

February 13, 2005

Kabira Technologies will be demonstrating its latest service solutions at this year's 3GSM World Congress (14th to 17th February 2005, Le Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France) enabling Telecom Operators to instantly respond to new market opportunities and to deliver revenue-generating services within challenging high-budget and time-constraint environments.

These solutions take advantage of Kabira's new Service Delivery Platform, which is designed to respond to the pressures on providers to deliver many more multimedia services much faster to market, while minimizing and reducing operating costs to achieve the highest possible average margin per user (AMPU).

The live demonstrations will be running at the Kabira Technologies Booth D13, Hall 2.

The Kabira demonstrations address some of the major issues and challenges facing wireless operators todaysuch as: -0- *T -- Kabira Convergent Provisioning and Service Activation -- KPSA FastTrack for 3G and Mobile -- Kabira Messaging Gateway -- Kabira Charging Solutions *T

Demonstrations #1 & #2 - KABIRA Convergent Provisioning and Service Activation

NEW Solution KPSA FastTrack for 3G and Mobile

Kabira presents KPSA FastTrack, a new set of rich-featured and ready-to-deploy provisioning solutions that integrate the leading Kabira Provisioning and Service Activation Platform (KPSA).

KPSA FastTrack solutions enable telecom operators to respond to market opportunities for provisioning new services much faster and more effectively. Each solution includes KPSA that has been designed to provide reliable, high throughput provisioning and activation while supporting the widest possible range of service management applications (CRM, OM, Self-Care ...), and underlying network elements and service enablers. As networks continue to converge and the drivers for service creation grow, rapid deployment of new services based on KPSA FastTrack provide a critical competitive advantage.

KPSA FastTrack for 3G and Mobile is a pre-integrated solution to activate voice, data and multimedia services on 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile networks. This solution offers pre-configured order processing to address most common service platforms and network elements.

KPSA FastTrack solutions include the following advanced features: -0- *T -- Pre-tuned standard 3G interfaces to BSS and OSS -- Pre-wired KPSA core for 3G -- Pre-configured 3G products, services and workflows in KPSA catalogues *T

There will a live demonstration of the Kabira Provisioning and Service Activation, KPSA solution. This will highlight the solution's key strengths in flexibility, performance and evolution. For example: -0- *T -- Flexibility to integrate subscriber specific activation schema -- High throughput to support the diversity of services and the emergence of self care -- Integrate subscriber and network databases for data consistency and more efficient processing -- Real time to market service implementation -- Management of complex service infrastructure because of wider diversity of new platforms and third party partners *T

Demonstration #3 - Multimedia Messaging Gateway for Efficient Service Delivery

The Kabira Service Delivery Platform (SDP) is a new approach to how services and content are deployed by operators to take account of today's tougher market and technical challenges. It comprises an innovative approach to building services on a horizontal rather than vertical model. Easier re-use of components enables the underlying service applications to be built quicker and to be more resilient and adaptable. Coupled with Kabira's core high-speed switching server, the SDP meets the requirement for the high performance and scalability needed for delivering services in real time for millions of users.

At Cannes, Kabira will be demonstrating how the SDP can be used to underpin the Kabira Messaging Gateway and facilitates messaging, location based and other premium services. The solution is telco-grade response to operators' needs for supporting value-added services such as mobile originated premium SMS, mobile terminated content push , tele-voting...etc.

Demonstration #4 - Kabira Charging Solutions

Pre-paid subscribers are becoming the largest part of most operators' subscriber bases. However, these users have not been granted access to many services and especially mobile data services because of limitations in traditional intelligent network service management systems.

Kabira will be demonstrating its Charging solutions, which are particularly suited to the demands of real-time management of services for pre-paid customers. Designed for very high throughput, flexibility and transaction traffic, the solution range from classical VoIP mediation, to Content Charging Solutions and also cover advanced convergent charging architectures. Also presented on our booth, Kabira promotes a completely innovative Service Architecture in order to make not only charging but also service deployment an easy matter with unprecedented decrease in deployment cost and risk and maximum revenue capture.
