Tecore to demonstrate NGN SoftMSC at 3GSM
February 13, 2005
Tecore Wireless Systems, a pioneer supplier of new generation wireless systems, will be demonstrating its next-generation AirCore SoftMSC at the prestigious 3GSM World Congress 2005 in Cannes, France, February 14-17, Booth D56.
The AirCore SoftMSC is a mobile switching platform designed to meet the reliability, performance, and scalability needs of the top GSM, CDMA, and 3G network operators around the world. Utilizing a carrier grade, high availability Linux platform, the next generation AirCore SoftMSC provides a complete core network solution for million subscriber markets as well as distributed scalability.
Tecore's unique multi-protocol offering supports the core network components of GSM/EDGE, 3G/UMTS and CDMA networks. Additionally, Tecore has aligned the next generation AirCore SoftMSC with the latest 802.1x high-speed data standards such as WiMAX and WiFi as preparatory steps toward full incorporation of these technologies into a common feature-rich platform.
The AirCore SoftMSC includes wireless core network nodes such as MSC, VLR, HLR, STP, SMSC, MMSC, SSF, SRF and SCF Intelligent Network via software application plug-ins on one common platform. Scalability and growth is supported both vertically and horizontally. As the application needs evolve, the AirCore plug-in modules can be added to meet the vertical requirements. Additional processing can be introduced seamlessly to address horizontal growth in capacity.
The next generation AirCore SoftMSC is the next evolutionary step of the AirCore multi-protocol architecture building on the success of earlier versions of the AirCore System which provide an all-in-one (MSC, VLR, HLR, STP, SMSC, SSF, SRF, Prepaid, and Gateway Tandem) solution for GSM, GPRS, CDMA, and TDMA wireless networks around the world. Tecore has leveraged this experience in operations, as well as, product development to expand the capacity and distribution architecture in the latest AirCore offering.
