Partner's General License Extended for Additional Nine Years Until 2017date: January 24, 2002 Israel's Partner Communications announced today that the Ministry of Communications notified the Company that it approved the award to Partner of a 2G band (1800 spectrum) and a 3G band of spectrum. Partner's original license, awarded in 1998, will be amended and extended for additional nine years until 2017. In December, the tender for the 3G frequencies has ended. Thress companies competed for the usage of the frequencies were Cellcom, Partner and Pele-Phone. Partner paid for the frequency band it chose for 220 million shekels, Cellcom paid for the frequency band it desired for 220 million shekels and Pele-Phone paid 225 million shekels.
