Hutchinson 3G completes 186k assets takeover

Hutchsion 3G, a unit of Hutchison Whampoa, has completed the acquisition
of assets of the 186k fibre optic network business previously owned
by the former Lattice Group, according to insiders at 186k.
Hutchison 3G is 186k's single biggest customer which provides Huchison
3G's 3G network in the UK. Rumors were said that most of the employees
at 186k would be make redundant.
186k was formed in 2000 and owns a fibre optic network of approximately
1800 km, connecting 20 major cities in the UK, including London,
Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
