Teleca to integrate 3's 3G OSS
January 20, 2003
Teleca today announced that it has been selected by 3 to install,
integrate and customise parts of its Operations Support Systems
in Sweden. The system will ensure an efficient operation of the
new 3G network. The solution will be used for planning, provisioning
and performance monitoring across the entire network.
"Implementing an advanced OSS solution is an important part of
efficient operations. We chose Teleca as our integration partner
because they have a proven track record and local presence," said
Christian Engstrom at the Procurement department.
The solution will use performance-monitoring products from Watchmark
to help assure service delivery quality and inventory management
products from Cramer to facilitate efficient network infrastructure
planning and provisioning. Teleca, together with its product partners,
will jointly provide rapid implementation of the solution as 3 continues
rollout and increases capacity of its network and services in Sweden.
"Teleca is pleased to note that our ongoing efforts of successful
deliveries of OSS solutions for wireless and wire line operators
is creating results. We have won this contract because we were able
to present a well-integrated solution comprised of state-of-the-art
products. Furthermore the products are integrated in a pragmatic
and cost-efficient way, leveraging our best practice experience
acquired in previous similar projects," said Johan Strid, President
