ISCO International announces sale of 3G in-band interference solution
January 24, 2003
ISCO International, a supplier of interference-control solutions
for the wireless telecommunications industry, announced the receipt
of a purchase order from a wireless operator in Israel.
During 2002, ISCO was asked to help resolve a significant in-band
interference problem for a network operator based in Israel. As
a result of those efforts, the operator has placed a purchase order
with ISCO requesting nearly half a million dollars worth of ANF
(Adaptive Notch Filter) solutions to be delivered during the first
quarter of 2003.
Dr. Amr Abdelmonem, ISCO's CEO, stated, "This represents the first
significant deployment of ANF solutions outside North America. In
working with this operator it was clear that ISCO could provide
significant benefits to the performance of an existing CDMA network
that was experiencing severe in-band interference. We are pleased
that this operator has moved forward with what we expect is the
first of a series of purchases of ANF solutions for this network.
We also expect that, on a global basis, operator upgrades from conventional
2G systems to data-carrying 2.5G and 3G systems will accelerate
the demand for the interference-management products and services
provided by ISCO."
ISCO has the broadest range of interference-control solutions in
the industry. Its ANF (Adaptive Notch Filter) line is the only patented
product in the world that suppresses in-band interference in a CDMA
carrier within 20 milliseconds. The company also provides the widest
range of configurations for HTS out-of-band interference solutions
that support cellular, PCS, 2.5G and 3G systems. Its products include
the smallest, failure-proof all-temperature HTS filter on the market
today, the patented ATP system. ISCO has also developed ultra-high-performance
super- conducting front-end products, including both transmitter
and receiver products for emerging data-capable WCDMA and CDMA 2000
systems.
