3 brings Celebrity Big Brother to video mobile

January 19, 2005 - source: BWCS

3UK and 4 Interactive, the interactive division of Channel 4, will be letting you decide when and where you watch all the Celebrity Big Brother action with an exclusive up-to-the-minute content package.

3 users won't miss a second of the celebrity tears and tantrums when Big Brother mania grips the nation from January 6th. For the first time, customers on the 3 network will be able to watch video clips of the latest action from the Celebrity Big Brother house on their mobiles.

Updates from Davina and Dermot will cover all the goings on in the Big Brother house between the celebrity housemates with five clips available each day. A daily highlights package will include every eviction plus the best bits from the show, while an additional four news clips per day means celebrity strops, diary Room declarations and those nervous nominations will never be missed.

Graeme Oxby, Marketing Director of 3, said "What happens on Celebrity Big Brother is sure to be a talking point in offices and pubs up and down the country - and our customers will be armed with the latest video evidence."

Paul Whitehead, Head of Business Development at 4 Interactive, added: "We are always looking for ways to provide innovative multi-platform content for Channel 4 viewers. We are excited to be providing 3G content to viewers for the first time and 3 is the perfect partner for such a cutting edge service."

Celebrity Big Brother content will be 50p per clip, or will be free for those who have signed up to 3's Video Value add-on package.
