Optimi selected to introduce 3G in North America

Optimi, provider of wireless network design, planning and performance solutions, announced that it has been awarded a major contract to provide design and optimization solutions for one of the world's largest GSM/UMTS networks in North America. Terms and conditions of the contract as well as the carriers' identity were not revealed.
Specifically, the carrier has agreed to deploy Optimi's x-ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) product. x-ACP an integrated module of Optimi's X Design & Optimization Product Suite. Benefits include
1. Rapid integration of new UMTS sites/sectors into an existing GSM network;
2. Acceleration in the deployment of new revenue enhancing 3G data services;
3. Reduce radio frequency interference that increases data throughput, improves service quality for voice and new data services.
