Analysys supports Danish government with award of 3G licence
January 11, 2006
Analysys would like to offer its congratulations to the Danish government on the successful award of a 3G licence to SONOFON, at a price of DKK533 million. SONOFON was the winner of the auction held on 2 December 2005, where the reserve price was DKK430 million.
The 3G licence became available following TeliaSonera's take-over of Orange in Denmark. An inter-departmental Steering Group was set up to launch the auction of the licence, with the objective of ensuring that there would be effective and sustainable competition and that innovation and development of new services would be stimulated.
Analysys and DotEcon have provided advisory support to the Steering Group throughout the award process.
