SmarTone-Vodafone give 3G access with Option's Globetrotter 3G Quad

Option N.V. announced that SmarTone-Vodafone has selected the GlobeTrotter 3G QUAD wireless data card, providing its mobile customers with access to broadband wireless data services wherever they travel worldwide. The product is customized to the exacting requirements of the operator.

SmarTone-Vodafone is an operator in Hong Kong with more than 1 million customers. SmarTone-Vodafone is a GSM operator and a 3G services provider. The commercial launch of 3G-enabled services at the end of 2004 for both consumers and business users is a key milestone in its quest for long-term growth through multimedia services. SmarTone-Vodafone is the marketing brand for SmarTone Mobile Communications Limited following the signing of a Partner Network Agreement with Vodafone Group Plc. The dual brand was officially launched in April 2005. Established in 1992, the company was the first operator to launch GSM mobile services in Asia in 1993 and the first in Hong Kong to introduce automatic international roaming.

Option's GlobeTrotter 3G QUAD is the world's first 5-band broadband wireless data card combining in a single PC data card, 3G UMTS at 2100 MHz for EMEA markets and Quad band GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz for worldwide markets.
