Wi-Tron receives first orders for its W-CDMA and GSM1800 multi-channel amplifier
January 25, 2006
Wi-Tron, a manufacturer of ultra-linear high power amplifiers and high speed broadband wireless products, announced that it received new purchase orders from an Asian customer for the company's UMTS2100 and GSM1800 Multi-Channel Ultra Linear amplifiers. These initial orders are expected to generate about $1.5m in revenues over the next four to six months.
John Chase Lee, Wi-Tron's CEO, stated, "With 2G network growth continuing and with major 3G roll-outs being planned and executed throughout the Asian market, we believe these orders represent an important first step in building a relationship with our Asian-based customers. Wi-Tron is in the process of building a solid team of engineers with expertise in the state-of-the-art amplifier designs used in the industry today. We hope to tap this experienced talent in order to provide the ultra-linear, high-efficiency amplifiers the industry demands, for the broadband wireless networks of today and tomorrow."
