Business Fears for Irish 3G investmentdate: July 25, 2001 ESAT Digifone has played down comments from one of its executives that the company will have to curtail its spending on content for 3G mobile telephony in Ireland because of the amount of cash its parent, British Telecom, has spent on 3G licences in the UK and elsewhere. Speaking at a recent Irish Internet Association meeting Sarah Shortman, portal manager at the mobile phone company now owned by British Telecom (BT) said that we (BT) have to be careful about content investment here. read more: click here
