Wireless Knowledge and Extended Systems to develop 3G solutionsdate: July 25, 2001 - source: Wireless Knowledge Wireless Knowledge, a Microsoft Corporation and Qualcomm company, and Extended Systems, today announced plans to collaborate on next-generation wireless solutions, such as 3G technology. Under the terms of the agreement, Wireless Knowledge and Extended Systems will cross-license certain mobile application technologies to develop best-of-breed, next-generation software components. The two companies will align on consulting, sales and marketing programs to develop new channels. "Collaborating with Extended Systems . . . allows us to leverage each other's resources and co-develop revolutionary technologies for next-generation networks and infrastructures . . .", said Ken Whitaker, vice president of product development for Wireless Knowledge "Early adopter customers are looking to market leaders to guide them through the transition to 3G," said Holmes Lundt, co-founder and vice president of business development for Extended Systems.
