Powercomm, Thrunet said to take part in Korea 3G auction

Powercomm and Thrunet have officially announced that they will join hands with LG Telecom to participate in the scheduled auction next month of the final third-generation mobile phone operator's license.

Thrunet spokesman Park Joo-man said his company is negotiating with LG to decide how much of the consortium's stock it would take over. The consortium will be in charge of running the 3G mobile phone project once it becomes successful in securing the license.
