Comptel and Daleen confirmed 3G billing partnershipdate: July 30, 2001 Comptel Corporation and Daleen Technologies confirmed a partnership agreement that covers the provision of rating, usage-based billing and mediation solutions for next-generation 3G mobile service providers. As a result of the agreement, both Comptel and Daleen will be able to provide their customers with integrated end-to-end mobile IP and content revenue management solutions. This will help the customers to considerably decrease their time-to-revenue, cost of integration and upgrades, and total cost of ownership. Daleen and Comptel's integrated solutions will also enable mobile service providers to offer innovative services to their customers. These include the ordering of new multi-product services, managing and viewing of customers' account information over the Internet or via mobile phones. Next-generation mobile content services mean a revolution for the operators' billing practices. Collecting the usage data, billing and revenue sharing are great challenges. The cooperation with Daleen opens up excellent opportunities for finding integrated end-to-end solutions for our customers both in the Americas and in Europe, said Jorma Heinonen, Senior Executive Vice President of Comptel Corporation. To accelerate revenue generation for next generation wireless services, it is critical for operators to properly manage their end-to-end revenue chain -- from service creation to billing. Daleen's RevChain solutions have demonstrated excellence in flexibly adding new services, customer self-management from any internet-enabled device, scalable usage-based IP and content services, and creative billing and settlement with end-customers and partners. By integrating RevChain and Comptel's Chinchilla product enables next generation operators to maximise revenue by quickly introducing new high-volume, usage based services, said Kevin Steffey, Daleen's Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA.
