Israel 3G payment to spread out through 2006

The tenders committee for third generation cellular frequencies decided yesterday that payments for blocks of frequencies will be spread out through 2006. The committee decided that the minimum payment for a block of frequencies will be $55 million, 30% of which ($16.5 million) will be paid in cash 45 days after the franchise is awarded. 15% ($8.25 million) will be paid in mid-2002, and the rest in annual installments through 2006.
