Tektronix Brings Out New UMTS Network Development Kit

Tektronix, an innovator in test, measurement and monitoring solutions for mobile equipment manufacturers and operato, announced a new solution for real-time monitoring and analysis of the latest UMTS mobile networks elements.

UMTS network elements are much more complex to test than second generation (2G, 2.5G) components and continue to require fast, accurate verification at each interface. With this increased complexity and the evolving nature of UMTS element development, many of today's test solutions fail to completely address critical interfaces and protocols. Tektronix' newest software release for the K1297-G20 protocol tester, Version 2.01 (V2.01), adds important pieces to the UMTS "puzzle." Most significantly, V2.01 includes Dynamic Monitoring, an innovative feature that provides the first real-time analysis on the Iub interface, eliminating the need for post processing of data.
